Welcome to The Highland Bookshop, Fort William

The Highland Bookshop proudly occupies one of the biggest shops in Fort William's bustling pedestrianized High Street.

There hadn't been a specialist bookshop in Fort William until we opened in 2017. Since opening we have organised hundreds of author events and as a result of the huge support we have had, we have doubled our space by expanding into our upstairs floors.

The ground floor of the shop hosts an extensive range of titles across all subjects including Scottish interest, the outdoors, children's, fiction, as well as all non-fiction areas like history, food & drink.

Our first floor is home to our Big Outdoor Lounge, where you can find the largest selection of maps, guides and travel materials in Scotland. There is also a growing selection of stationery and art supplies, as well as our newly expanded Secondhand Books department.
