‘This piece is a celebration of reading- peering through a window from outside, inside is a world of its own with a cosy personal library, floor to ceiling books, and a glowing wood burning stove. For many of us, large parts of lockdown have been about spending a lot more time inside- and once the films and tv had been binged, the games had been completed, and the sourdough had defeated me, I finally picked up a book again. One of the (few) wins of lockdown for me was that I got back into reading more. Library was part of my popular Home Editions series.’

Based in Glasgow, but having grown up in the heart of Edinburgh, his illustration practice centres around Scottish landscapes as well as more fantastic and imaginary places. For David, every illustration is a playground of discovery, a world of stories waiting to be uncovered and shared.
